1. Question: What exactly are Bouncing Woolies and how will they benefit me?
Answer: Wool dryer balls (Bouncing Woolies) save time, money, and energy. They are made from 100% wool and are felted multiple times (more than most other wool dryer balls on the market). Felting keeps them from falling apart in your dryer.
2. Question: How will they save time, money and energy?
Answer: The woolies circulate and separate the clothing and get the warm dry air right down to the core of the laundry load! The more you add to your dryer, the faster the drying time, softer softness and money saved. They can speed up the drying time and soften up by gentle friction of the felted wool fibers against your clothing fibers. Not only do they save money by lessening your drying time, you also will not have to purchase store bought, chemical-filled fabric softeners or dryer sheets.
3. Question: How long will the woolies last?
Answer: Your Bouncing Woolies will last at least one year. If you add scents to your woolies, the scents won't last a full year, but you can always scent them again with our re-scent packs.
4. Question: What if I'm allergic to wool, can I still use Bouncing Woolies?
Answer: Yes, definitely! Many of my clients have tested our products on their wool sensitive family members. Because the wool isn't directly in contact with your skin, it does not cause a reaction. All allergens are stripped during our production process.
5. Question: What's the difference between rubber/plastic/ dryer balls and Bouncing Woolies?
Answer: Wool is 100% natural so you don't have to worry about chemicals escaping and latching to your clothing and other laundered materials. Bouncing woolies are more gentle and will not tear up your laundry. Wool is a natural fiber that is not processed.
6. Question: I see that you have scented woolies. Since I'm sensitive, I worry about the scents. Should I order unscented?
Answer: I can scent your Bouncing Woolies with either fragrance oils or essential oils. We've had many customers with sensitivity use our fragrance without any negative reactions. The oils never touch your skin or laundry, as they are injected deep into the core of the ball. The warm air and moisture from the dryer will expel those scents safely. A nice aroma will be left on your clothes without the worry of any sensitivity. If you are still worried, unscented might be the option for you.
7. Question: There are small, black "hairs" in my natural colored woolies. What is that?
Answer: Wool in it's natural state is not 100% cream in color. Just like humans, sheep also have variations in their fiber color. It is normal to see small pieces of black fiber in your undyed woolies.
8. Question: My wool dryer balls arrived wet/damp. Are they OK?
Answer: This is common during autumn and winter months. What happens in this type of climate? Condensation and moisture. What makes wool dryer balls work so well? Absorption. :) Because shipments travel from inside a warm house and post office into cold post office vehicles and mailboxes, your balls may seem damp or even wet when you open the package. This is very normal and it means your balls are working very well! All you need to do is tumble them for a bit in your dryer or simply let them air dry.
